Little Arthur Farm

WWOOFers/Volunteers

'The transition away from dependence on cheap oil will not be an easy one, but it will happen whether we want it or not. Creating a low energy, more localized, self reliant agriculture takes planning, time, imagination and creativity.' Rob Hopkins - founder of the 'Transition Towns' initiative.
We now have a vacancy for a paid farm worker; for more information please click here

For anyone wishing to come and stay with us to learn more about any aspect of the business; we are registered UK WWOOF hosts (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms). We have a small cabin or can provide camping accommodation for helpers, though facilities are very basic so prefer younger volunteers who are happy to camp.
Due to the nature of our enterprise we cannot take vegetarians/vegans unless self catering, all volunteers will be expected to work with animals when neccersary. Also, work on the farm can often be quite hard going so a resonable level of physical fitness is required.

Please read through the information below and decide what time of year you would like to come then e-mail or write to us and we will confirm whether that period is available. If you have arranged to come then have to cancel please give us at least 2 weeks notice. Also, as we don't agree with flying - due to the pollution caused - we prefer to host wwoofers from the UK.
